Emil Zatopek 1922-2002

In Helsinki 1952 made Emil Zatopek something nobody either sooner or later has done.
He won "The Triple". Both 5000 M, 10000 M and Marathon
Zatopek made his Entrance in the Internation Atletic World in 1948, in London, where he won Gold on 10000M and silver on 5000M.
In 1952 he decided in last minute to take part in the Marathon
It was his first Marathon and he won comfortable. His worst competitor the Britsh WR holder Jim Peters dropped out halfway, when Zatopek reached him, and asked him, if he didn't thougt they were running slowly
He won ahead of Reinaldo Gorno, Argentina2.25.35 and the Swede Gustav Jansson 2.26.07.
