Douglas Wakiihuri was the first and until now oly Kenyan who has won Gold at one of the Graet Championships
In Rome 1987 did he become a Worldchampion in the time 2:11:38 ahead of Ahmed Salah Djibouiti,2:12:30 and the later Olympic Champion Bordin 2:12:40 Wakiihuri is/was also a Musican and has made several CD's
